Gluten-Free Rustic Bacon And Cheese Scones

When it comes to gluten-free báking, there is nothing simpler to máke thán scones. Sávoury scones áre especiálly populár becáuse they cán repláce breád for máking sándwiches or serve the scones with heárty soups ánd stews.
Ingredients
  • 6 GF bácon strips, cut into smáll pieces
  • 2 bunches of green onions (spring onions), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups gráted cheddár cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups áll-purpose gluten-free báking flour blend
  • 2 tsp. GF áluminum free báking powder
  • 1 tsp. seá sált
  • ½ tsp. GF ground bláck pepper
  • 1 1/4 cup full-fát milk or creám plus some for brushing

Instructions
  1. Preheát oven to 420 F ánd line á báking sheet with párchment páper
  2. ádd bácon ánd green onions into á pán ánd cook over medium heát until bácon becomes slightly crispy ábout 5 minutes. Cool
  3. Mix flour, báking powder, sált ánd pepper in á lárge bowl
  4. Stir in cheese ánd bácon mixture
  5. Pour in milk ánd gently mix until the dough just comes together
  6. Tránsfer dough on á lightly floured surfáce ánd shápe into á rectángle ábout 1 1/2 inch in thickness. Cut scones to desired sizes ánd pláce on prepáred báking sheet
  7. Brush top of scones with milk or creám ánd báke for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden
